Problem

The unemployment rate in Kenya increased to 6.6. percent in the first quarter of 2021, against 5.4 percent in the previous quarter. It was also higher than in Q1 2020, when 5.2 percent of the population aged 15-64 years were unemployed.

Pledge

Most unemployment is caused by individuals lacking employable/self-employment skills thereby either over depending on white color jobs which is still at a low and/ most lack skills to self-employ, this can be changed by having all youth being given employable skills after completing secondary school education.

These employable skills will enable them to either seek jobs or self employ themselves and offer product or services to the market and sustain a living.
